Introduction to the Breeder's Registry
The Breeder's Registry is dedicated to collecting and redistributing information
about propagating marine organisms, mainly , but not exclusive to closed
systems. Most of the marine organisms kept in aquaria are not of commercial
food fish interest. Much of what is known and to be learned about reproductive
behaviors and culturing techniques for these marine species, especially
the "ornamental species", is and will be, by the "amateur" aquarist.
The Breeder's Registry is operated by an all volunteer staff and the
majority of all funding is currently from supporting members. The cost of membership is literally "pennies per day"!
Why Become a Member when this website is FREE???
A good question...
- Members receive personal e-mail notification of all new Breeder's Registry database reports and on-line articles as soon as they are posted.
- Members may obtain upon request contact information for many of the authors of database reports.
- Members may place one FREE ad on our classified ads page per year.
- Members have access to the Breeder's Registry electronic discussion group (e-mail address required) where a variety of questions can be asked and
topics discussed.
- Tax-deductible member gifts fund the Breeder's Registry and allow us to continue operating,
which means we can continue to seek new information and research and compile
pertinent information from the many sources which might otherwise be difficult
to access by many.
- Members receive a 10% discount on Captive Bred or Captive Reared Broodstock from Inland Aquatics - listed under "Livestock" on our Links Page.
- Members support our efforts for a self-sustaining hobby.

$50 - Home-based Breeders
$25 - Individual Members
